Hair & Make-Up:

• ALL students should wear basic stage make-up to allow the audience to see their faces and expressions. While it may look like a lot off stage, under the bright lights of the theater, from the audience’s perspective it will look very natural.
• Ms. Elyssa created this tutorial video going over basic stage make-up. If your student needs stage make-up, we recommend using a small kit like this.
• Students must arrive to the theater with full hair and makeup done, wearing their skin-colored leotards with a cover up over.

Costumes & Attire: 

• Costume: Seaside provides performance costumes, however, there are some undergarments/basics all students need to bring. Specifics will be shared in November.
• Skin-Colored Leotards: We ask that all students wear skin-colored, camisole style leotards when they arrive, which will be worn under all costumes and allow for easy changing in the big shared dressing rooms, where there are no private changing spaces.
• Please make sure to label all of your student’s personal clothing items, ESPECIALLY SHOES! Seaside will keep all costumes after the show.

• We need a few volunteers on performance day, to help with ticket sales and backstage. Email hollie@seasideartscenter.org to sign up.

  • 10:15-11 AM (Ticket sales/lobby)

The event will celebrate all of our students’ hard work this semester and will include refreshments. Students are welcome to invite friends and family members to see their work! 

Following the Visual Arts Gallery, we invite all families to join us for Seaside’s production of Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR at the Grand | Ritz at 2:30 PM. Tickets available soon!

***Design & Build: Please note that since this class is working on props and set pieces, their work will NOT be included in the gallery as it is being used in the Matilda JR Production. Please come see the show to view these student works in action. Instead, in the gallery we will have a display of photos students working on their pieces.
