Seaside Arts Center's Ballet program is designed to ground students in the technique, discipline, artistry, and history of Classical Ballet, while following a curriculum that safely and effectively teaches children to progress through the rigors of the art.
Contemporary dance is an expressive style of dance that infuses elements of different dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical, and classical ballet.
In Isadora Duncan Dance, students learn Duncan's choreography, technique, and history while developing their own artistry, choreography, and ability to speak about dance. Students learn and perform Isadora Duncan's choreography, teach audiences about the history of the work and their own lineage within the Duncan legacy, and develop their own artistry and voice through dance. Get down to Hip Hop classics and music filled with positive messages. In Hip-Hop 1, dancers will learn Hip Hop grooves, the fundamentals of Hip Hop, and build their freestyle skills! Students gain confidence in their own personal style while learning an introduction to Hip Hop!
From box steps to Jazz walks and kick-ball-changes, learn the essentials every director will expect you to know and perform them with confidence!
Learn tap combinations from Broadway shows and increase your tap skills while doing it! This is the perfect class for anyone who loves to mix rhythm and style on the dance floor. Channel your inner Fred and Ginger!
This program is built upon the principles of PLAY, ENSEMBLE, and EMPATHY. Classes empower students to speak with full voices, stand confidently in front of others, and lead with a playful imagination, while also working within a collaborative ensemble. Acting classes explore ensemble building, spatial awareness, character development, and voice control.
Students will develop their own voices while learning to sing in an ensemble with others. After warming up their voices and bodies to sing safely and practice good musicianship, students will learn to sing in harmony while working on rhythm and listening skills.
Learn foundational vocal techniques in a variety of styles from musical theater, to opera to pop! Lessons are tailored to all levels of proficiency, from beginners to advanced vocalists. We employ the joyful cornerstones: diction, breath, pitch, and tone. The first half of your private class will be technical exercises, the second half, and engaging singing repertoire.
Learn to read music and play your favorite songs, in these private lessons tailored to your child’s skill-levels and desires. Start from the most basic music theory to more complex rhythms and chords, these lessons will give students a strong foundation that can carry through to more advanced piano skills or any instrument or vocal technique.
Come sing, dance, and act your way through the African savanna in Disney’s The Lion King Kids! Our version of The Lion King will be a truly unique and inspiring class for kids in 1st grade through middle school. Must be enrolled in another performing arts class at Seaside.
Is your little one always singing, dancing, and acting? Join our newest class, tailored specifically to students ages 3-5, to expand their skills with all their favorites! This class will take inspiration from Frozen, Tangled, Moana, The Lion King and more!
Seaside Arts Center’s Visual Arts program provides a space for students to explore, develop, and express their ideas while learning various media, styles, and techniques. Classes feature paint, sculpture, textile weaving, assemblage, mixed media, (and more!), as they learn to express themselves and their own ideas through art and find inspiration from artists throughout history and the world. They’ll use their imaginations and create one-of-a-kind art works as they learn about color, shape, and
Students will discover their own artistic abilities by learning one of the oldest art forms in the world. They'll explore different techniques of hand sewing and will have the opportunity to work with different textiles while learning to create and mend clothing. They’ll also explore fiber art through embroidery, and create a variety of projects utilizing skills gained in class.
Early Childhood (EC) visual and performing arts classes encourage young children to express themselves in new ways, to understand and appreciate a variety of forms of art, and to develop their gross and fine motor skills through fun, structured activities.
Students will dive into the world of visual arts, exploring a wide array of mediums, including paint, sculpture, textile weaving, mixed media, (and more!), as they express themselves and their own ideas through art.
An introduction to Isadora Duncan's style and choreography with a focus on creativity, personal expression, and musicality. Considered the “Mother of Modern Dance,” Duncan created a technique grounded in nature and science, which gives children a solid foundation upon which to branch out into any dance technique.

Dancers will learn fundamental dance skills, work on their gross motor abilities, and gain confidence while getting an introduction to Hip Hop. Fun for all students with a focus on creative expression and social emotional growth.
